OUR CHURCH HISTORY

Shondó Faith Deliverance International Inc. was primarily birthed through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in 2006 by the way of the beginning of the “Under the Shadows Ministry” which was Prophetess Lindsey’s first impartation vision for ministry. What came through that prayer and impartation ministry was confirmation for Shondó to be the name of the church. Already knowing that the Lord had called Prophetess Gloria Lindsey into pastorship due to the previous visitations and promptings from the Lord and confirmation from her leaders, she began asking the Lord for guidance and He began putting people into positions to assist her on her path. This was the 1st Trimester. The name of the church was confirmed in November 2006 through a service at Open Door Apostolic Church while in South Carolina.

The Lord began giving directions on where to go and who to gleam from. God began to send Prophetess Lindsey to assist certain leaders in their ministry and to receive counsel, wisdom and guidance from Dr. Richard Gray who helped Prophetess Lindsey with getting S.F.D.I.I. patented and assisted with the 501C3 and etc.. Prophetess Lindsey then connected with Pastor Beal of Greater St. Luke of the Apostolic Faith where she was under Watchcare while being followed by Mother Dillard and Sis Harriet Lyons as her first two followers. This was the second Trimester.

The third Trimester came after several others whom she had been ministering too over the past years reconnected to Prophetess Lindsey and inquired when she would open a church as they were waiting to become members. These were an additional six. The name “Shondó” means A Complete Turn Around and is derived from the life of Joseph as well as Pastor Lindsey and her oldest son. Scripture says that Joseph came from the pit to the palace; which was a revelation revealing of Pastor Lindsey and a prophecy for her son. The scripture that Shondó is gleamed from is Genesis 50:20 which reads, “But as for you, you thought evil against me, but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”
